Part 2 provides children a safe environment where they are given the opportunity to express themselves and develop socially, physically, academically and creatively through a program that nurtures and respects the uniqueness of each and every child. Our programs are built upon strong relationships between staff, children, parents and teachers to allow for collaboration in creating after school programs that match the needs of each unique community.
Kids can expect a wide range of activity choices each day including active games, arts and crafts, homework help, clubs, workshops, science and more!
Part 2 Early Education programs partner with area schools to create quality early education opportunities for all students ages 3-5 that best prepare them for kindergarten and life-long success. Some students enrolled in our programs receive free preschool services from the partnering school. During the time outside of the preschool component, the learning continues as Part 2 works in conjunction with the preschool teachers and school district to ensure learning targets are met and kindergarten preparedness to all of our students is achieved.
Update 9/8/2020: Part 2 is excited to announce a full-day option for parents to take advantage of during their child’s remote learning days. The program will operate out of the Shelburne Field House from 8:00-4:30, five days a week, beginning on September 14th. The cost of this program will be $60/day. It’s our hope, with careful coordination, that we will be able to support each child’s remote learning responsibilities while also creating many opportunities to have fun in an amazing facility (inside and outside)!
We hope to serve over 100 children in this facility (in pods with less than 20 kids in each group), but the first week will be limited to 30 students. We will expand as quickly as possible. This expansion is contingent on finding qualified staff to be part of this exciting new venture. If you are placed on our waiting list, we will be in touch with you once we are able to add more students.
Join our incredible Part 2 staff in a summer camp experience that will provide life-long memories. Our focus centers around providing fun and engaging activities that will enrich the lives of our campers. Our staff will facilitate hands-on science experiments, outdoor exploration and investigation, team building activities and cooperative games where campers will always be learning through play. We will offer amazing clubs that focuses on a specific learning target, such as: art history, gardening, geography, news, wildlife, yoga, poetry, archaeology, etc. Field trips and exploring Vermont are also key components of Part 2 Summer Camp.
